What we collect
To check a Z-score you give us your name and email address, and choose your stream, district and the year you sat the examination. All of these are required — the tool does not run without them. We store them together with the Z-score you enter, so the record we hold is linked to you. We also give your browser a random identifier so we can group your own actions together; that one identifies a browser, not a person.
Your Z-score is never shared
We never pass your Z-score to any institute, and it is never included in any export or report we produce. That holds even though we store it against your name: institutes see counts and trends only — how many students in a district searched a field — never an individual, never a name, never a score.
How we use your name and email
We use them to send you your result, reminders when application deadlines and intakes are approaching, and occasional news about courses and cut-offs. By submitting the Z-score form you agree to receive these. We record the date and time you submitted it.
We do not sell your email address, and we do not pass it to institutes. Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your record entirely at any time by writing to info@campusfinder.lk — we will remove it and you will hear nothing further from us.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages help students. It sets cookies that tell one browser apart from another; it never receives your Z-score. Page addresses are sent to it without their query strings, and the score parameter is redacted at Google as well. If you are visiting from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland we ask before any analytics cookie is set, and analytics runs without cookies until you agree. Anyone can switch analytics cookies off at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
What we never ask for
We do not collect your NIC number. We do not accept CVs, certificates or any uploaded documents. There is no login and no account.
If you are under 18
Many of our users are. Browsing courses and cut-offs needs nothing from you at all — you only have to give a name and email to run the Z-score check. If you are under 18, please talk to a parent or guardian before you do. If a parent or guardian would like a record removed, writing to info@campusfinder.lk is enough and we will delete it.
Where cutoff data comes from
Cutoff figures are derived from published University Grants Commission admission handbooks. They describe previous years only. Cutoffs change every year and nothing on this site is a prediction of what will happen this year.
