Overview
Established in 1943 as the National Diploma in Accountancy and transformed into the HNDA in 1946, this is Sri Lanka's oldest professional accounting programme. Per Public Administration Circular 46/90, the HNDA is considered equivalent to a B.Com degree from a UGC-recognised university. Completed full-time or part-time within a four-year period at ATIs island-wide.

Entry requirements
Typically G.C.E. A/L passes (any stream), or an approved foundation programme. Some diplomas admit strong G.C.E. O/L results — confirm with the institute.
